Charles Darwin University staff and students celebrated a strong year in the East Arnhem region at a presentation ceremony in Nhulunbuy Town Hall on Friday 16 December.
Campus Administrator Wendy Gordon said more than 250 students in East Arnhem had completed qualifications this year.
Among the higher education students s were Ann Bartholomeusz [Bartholomeusz] who completed a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning, and Catherine Jones who completed a Master of Indigenous Knowledge.
Ms Gordon said the Certificate II in Tourism had proved most popular in Semester 2 with 35 graduates. The next most popular courses were Certificate I in Resources and Infrastructure (16) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (13).
Ms Gordon said the winner of the Adrian Wagg Memorial Training Award for student excellence was Ms Bungamana Ganambarr.
Bungamana completed her Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management, training in weed spraying, first-aid training, and is enrolled in the Certificate of Spoken and Written English.
