Around 70 graduands will robe up to receive formal recognition of the successful completion of their studies at Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) mid-year graduation ceremony in Alice Springs this evening (Thursday June 17).
The ceremony recognises the academic achievements of students from higher education and vocational education sectors from across Central Australia.
The late Bernard Francis Kilgariff OAM will also be awarded A Doctor of Letters, honoris causa for his outstanding, long-term contribution to the development and advancement of the Northern Territory. The award will be accepted by his wife, Mrs Aileen Kilgariff.
The mid-year graduation ceremony will take place at The Alice Springs Convention Centre at 7pm.
It follows an awards ceremony held at CDU’s campus at 11am that recognises the university’s many outstanding students.
