A psychology academic has been voted as Charles Darwin University’s top lecturer and among the nation’s top 20 university teachers.
Psychology lecturer with CDU’s School of Health, Dr Mary Morris has been ranked as CDU’s top teaching academic according to UniJobs Lecturer of the Year competition.
Lecturer of the Year is an award designed to allow students and fellow staff member to recognise lecturers who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to better the lives of their students, and their campus communities.
Last year the initiative attracted over 70,000 votes, and more than 4000 university lecturers were nominated, making the 2010 award the most popular to date.
UniJobs Marketing and Media Manager, Melissa Lim-How said the awards help staff find their voice, and offers them a truly unique way of having their diligence rewarded not only by the students whose lives they enrich, but also by the colleagues that work beside them on a day to day basis.
Senior Lecturer - Health Sciences, Robin Cross and VET Lecturer – Finance, Tina Jones rounded out the top three vote getters for CDU.
