CDU leader to head NT Board of Studies 

 
 
Professor Steven Larkin has been appointed appointed Chairperson of the NT Board of Studies.

A member of Charles Darwin University’s executive has been appointed Chairperson of the body that develops and provides high-quality curriculum and assessment to students in the Northern Territory from Preschool to Year 12.

CDU’s Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous Leadership, Professor Steve Larkin has been appointed Chairperson of the Northern Territory Board of Studies (NTBOS).

Previously the Principal of the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies in Canberra, Professor Larkin has extensive leadership experience in Indigenous organisations including the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, the Aboriginal Health Strategy Unit in the NT Health Services and the Community Development and Social Health branch of the Federal Department of Health and Aged Care.

Professor Larkin is also Chair of the third Indigenous Higher Education Advisory Council.

NTBOS promotes a common curriculum for the compulsory years of schooling, which is designed to provide a challenging level of education for all learners.
