The Charles Darwin University Student Association (CDUSA) is re-established following the election by students of an executive.
The Vice-Chancellor of CDU, Professor Barney Glover, welcomed the move, saying the university had worked throughout the year to assist students to re-establish an association.
“We’ve worked on a number of fronts for the past year to support the students in this endeavour, including assisting with the recent elections and establishing a constitution for the association,” Professor Glover said.
“Funds have also been set aside to help the Student Association with its activities in 2010.”
A founding member of the CDUSA Executive, Matt Haubrick, said the association would be ready by Orientation Day on February 24, 2010, to welcome all new students to university life.
