Testamurs, mortarboards and robes will be the fashion in Darwin this week when CDU holds its end-of-year graduation ceremony.
More than 300 graduands will robe up to receive formal recognition of the successful completion of their studies.
Some 1100 students will officially graduate as a part of the ceremony, which recognises the academic achievements of students from both the higher education and Vocational Education and Training sectors.
A total of five PhDs will be awarded, along with an Honorary Doctorate.
Former Territory Minister and leading Indigenous political identity, Mr Jack AhKit will be recognised with the Honorary Doctorate.
Mr AhKit will also deliver the occasional address, with graduating Bachelor of Education student, Ronald Schauer to give the students’ response.
The ceremony will recognise graduates from all of the University’s faculties and vocational education divisions.
The end-of-year graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, 9 October at the Darwin Entertainment Centre. Guests will arrive at 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start.
