Leader of the Opposition visits CDU

The Federal Leader of the Opposition, Malcolm Turnbull today visited Charles Darwin University and met with Vice-Chancellor Professor Barney Glover.

Mr Turnbull and Professor Glover discussed a range of issues related to higher education and VET in Australia, including the Oppositions view on the Bradley Review of Tertiary Education and the need for investment in education during tough economic times.

The discussion also touched on the dual sector nature of CDU and the important role it plays in delivering education to the Northern Territory.

Mr Turnbull encouraged CDU to engage with the Opposition Spokesperson on Education, Mr Christopher Pyne in relation to national education policy issues.
