Engaging a reluctant student 

 
 

Visiting professor Brian Yates will present a lecture on engaging a reluctant student (in chemistry or science in general) on Tuesday, 3 June from 5pm to 6pm.

Professor Yates has been awarded several university teaching excellence awards, the 2006 Carrick Australian Award for University Teaching Excellence in Physical Sciences, and the 2007 Medal of the Chemical Education Division of the RACI. He is also an active researcher in the area of computational organic chemistry.

Professor Yates is Head of School of Chemistry, University of Tasmania.
