The Menzies School of Health Research presents two workshops during April-May.

Intensive Bioethics Workshop

Monday 28 to Tuesday 29 April, Seminar Room, Menzies School of Health Research, Darwin

This workshop discusses general ethical frameworks and specific ethical principles underpinned by those frameworks, in the context of current ethical issues in clinical practice, international research, indigenous health, and industry-physician relationships, with presenters Associate Professor Justin Oakley and Dr Rob Sparrow.

“Doing it right” - Working together for better Aboriginal health and healing

Friday 2 May, Seminar Room, Menzies School of Health Research

The workshop will give participants the information and skills to:

  • Foster better relations for a two-way relationship with Aboriginal communities;
  • Bring people together to work towards common goals;
  • Enable Aboriginal people to have a stronger voice in policy decisions and in the delivery of services; and
  • Provide a positive environment which encourages the building of productive relationships, partnerships and pathways with all key stakeholders

Presenters on the day are Bilawara Lee and Dr Malcolm McDonald.
