Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Palmerston campus has a new administrator, Aretha Amos.
Previously with CDU’s Workforce Development area within the People Management and Development (PMD) division, Aretha coordinated many of the learning activities, events and administration duties for the Partnering in Leadership Program, a joint initiative between CDU and Victoria University.
In her position with PMD, Aretha advised CDU managers and staff in the use of PMD tools and process with a particular emphasis on training and development.
“I am honoured to be a part of the Remotelink team and am very excited about the work ahead of me as campus administrator,” she said.
Aretha will be placing a major emphasis on delivering outcomes in line with the strategic goals of the office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Community and Access.
“I particularly wanted to be a part of Remotelink and contribute to sustaining the viability of the dynamic and growing community of Palmerston and surrounding regional area for future generations,” she said.
“I plan to expand on CDU’s profile as a leader in the community and promote the learning pathways available at CDU’s Palmerston campus.”
Aretha is currently enrolled in CDU’s Master of International Management program and hopes to graduate in a few months.
“I am grateful to Helen Whitehouse who has helped me to settle in to my new surroundings as well as to the entire friendly and close-knit group of people here at the Palmerston campus.”
