Charles Darwin University (CDU) graduate who has just returned from the Clinton Global Initiative University Meeting in New Orleans, USA, will give a public talk as part of National Youth Week (NYW).
Maria Kambouris (pictured) is a graduate of CDU’s Bachelor of Social Work and has been involved in various community projects throughout her degree.
During her NYW talk she will discuss her experiences working in disability and aged care.
NYW is held in April each year, and is a feature of Australia’s youth events’ calendar.
Maria is committed to action in the global health area, and to addressing health literacies in Darwin and surrounding areas.
She was a semi-finalist in the 2008 Northern Territory Young Achiever Awards in the Community Services and the Career Achievement categories.
Maria’s talk is free to the public and will be held on Wednesday April 16 from 12noon to 1pm in Building 23, Room 1 at CDU’s Casuarina campus.
