Avril (pictured) will present innovative and fresh developments in recruitment, retention and workforce engagement.
Avril Henry graduated from the University of Cape Town in accounting and economics, migrating to Australia in 1980, with two suitcases, $500 and a dream to live freely and make a difference.
Avril’s career has spanned senior roles in finance, IT, project management, change management and HR. In 2006, Avril completed a Ministerial Review into recruitment and retention practices in the Australian Army, Navy and Air Force. Following the review, she was appointed to the Navy Workforce Planning Committee.
Avril is the author of Leadership Revelations: An Australian Perspective and The Who What When and Y of Generation whY?.
Her latest book, released in October 2007, is titled Inspiring Tomorrow’s Leaders Today: Breaking down Generational Barriers at Work.
The breakfast will be held in the Arafura Ballroom, Holiday Inn, Esplanade Darwin on Wednesday 16 April from 7.30am to 9.30am.
