The Institute of Public Administration of Australia NT Division Inc together with the NT Commissioner for Public Employment are offering five scholarships for public sector employees or students of public administration, management, business or commerce at a tertiary level – one in the Open Section and two each in the Young Professionals Category and the Remote Workforce Category.

Prizes include:

An economy return airfare from the Northern Territory to Sydney for each scholarship winner

Up to four night’s accommodation

Attendance at the interesting, exciting and fun IPAA national conference to be held at the Crystal Palace Convention Centre in Sydney’s Luna Park from 18-20 June 2008.

To enter you will need to submit an essay not exceeding 1,000 words based on research of a particular conference topic or theme. The theme of this year’s conference is The future of public service: Striking the right balance.

Distinguished speakers will share their views on current and strategic issues, such as organisational capacity building, partnerships, service delivery and communities.

Entries must be submitted by COB Monday 28 April 2008.
