The Northern Territory Institute of Public Administration Australia (NT IPAA) will host the first of its 2008 workshops at CDU's Mal Nairn Auditorium, Casuarina campus, on 14 March.
The workshop, titled Policy in the pressure cooker, is intended for public service employees from both the NT and the Australian Public Services plus others involved in aspects of policy development and administration in and beyond the Territory. It builds on the very successful Frank and Fearless Advice seminars held in 2006.
NT IPAA has engaged three dynamic and distinguished policy contributors to give their different but interrelated perspectives on the key issues and tensions surrounding government policy making. After individual speeches, they will form a panel to respond to questions from participants.
Workshop participants will hear the views of:
- Ms Clare Martin MLA – former Chief Minister
- Mr Barry Chambers – former CEO of an NTPS Agency
- Mr Rob Hitchcock – former Ministerial Advisor
