Youth unite to erase racism

Youth organisations in the Indigenous and multicultural sectors have joined forces to empower young Territorians with the knowledge to overcome racism in Darwin.

The Multicultural Youth Council of the Northern Territory (MYCNT) and Danila Dilba’s Indigenous Youth Advisory Committee (IYAC) are organising the youth forum entitled ‘ERACISM’.

The forum, to be held on Friday, 25 January at Charles Darwin Universitys’s Casuarina campus, is the last of a series of youth activities as part of the NT Government’s ‘Youth Blast’ initiative.

The free event will feature guest speakers, workshops and activities, providing a unique opportunity for youth to come together, share stories and get inspired to work towards a truly multicultural and diverse society without prejudice or stereotyping.

A free lunch will be provided for participants who will also receive an invitation to the MYCNT and IYAC celebration concert on Friday, 1 February to be held at Brownsmart Theatre.

The ERACISM forum is guaranteed to be a fun-filled and stimulating experience with all youth encouraged to participate.

Registrations will be taken on the day. For more information please contact Kevin on 0415 590 703.
