Sullivan songs and sushi

Mikado

The CDU Chamber Choir presents an evening of Gilbert and Sullivan songs from several of their operettas on Saturday 18 October from 7.30pm.

The evening highlight will be the Mikro Mikado. With all due respect to W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan, The Mikado, arguably the most successful of the hilarious operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan, has undergone minimalist treatment and clocks in at just under an hour!

With fabulous costumes, including authentic Japanese outfits (courtesy of the Australian Japanese Association of the NT), the amazing skills of music lecturer and pianist extraordinaire, Chen Hui, and a taste of sushi, the evening will provide a great nights’ entertainment.

Tickets available at the door: Adults: $15; Students and concession: $10; Children: $5; Families: $30.

Venue: Charles Darwin University Theatre, Orange 3, Casuarina campus.
