Lynn Ferguson will present the final School of Creative Arts and Humanities artists’ forum on Tuesday 14 October from 12pm to 1pm.
Lynn studied a four year fashion design course before landing in the “full-on, crazy, frustrating, and badly paid”, but tremendously rewarding world of professional theatre.
She has produced costumes for every kind of performance discipline from classics to new writing, dance to site-specific events and believes a job is not just about delivering “nice frocks”, but the need to consider many practical and technical elements – for example, “where do I get those ‘White Rabbit’ dentures made?”; “how can I fit a ‘mic pack’ under that tight bodice?”; “how do I fix wings into a costume?”
