Almost 80 Katherine High School students have ended the year on a high note after graduating from Charles Darwin University vocational training courses.

The students, ranging from years 9 to 12, have completed vocational studies with CDU in engineering and rural operations, business and introductory vocational education, business administration and children’s services.

Their achievements were recognised recently with a ceremony at the school, attended by proud parents and interested guests. Special mention was made of the students who were unable to attend the ceremony because they already have work as a direct result of their studies.

Vicki Williams, Katherine Campus Administrator, said the day was an achievement both for the students and the community.

‘It was great to see the success of the high school students in their pathways to further education and employment and I congratulate them,’ she said.

CDU Katherine thanks the parents, local business, the Katherine High School and the wider community for their support of the students.
