Dr Rik C. Buckworth presents ‘Spatial dynamics, fish "stocks" and the monitoring and management of fisheries’ on 26 October from 1pm to 2pm.
Much of the apparatus for monitoring, assessment and management of fisheries have centred around applications to ‘unit stocks’. ‘Fish stock’ is a term used in different contexts and questions about stock structure need to be quite specific so that assessment and management actions are matched in temporal and spatial scale with the spatial dynamics of the fished species.
