Dr Bruce Russell presents ‘Knobbed by malaria! What parasites are responsible, and why do they do it?’, on Monday 1 October, from 12pm to 1pm.
Knobby changes to the surface of falciparum malaria infected red blood cells cause millions of deaths each year. By using the latest advances in nano-technology and microfluidics we have been able to image the surface of malaria infected red blood cells and show how and why these parasites cause so much mortality.

This seminar takes place in the Menzies Seminar Room, John Mathews Building, Royal Darwin Hospital Campus.
