Degree of Adventure short film competition

Corporate Communications Director, Anthony Smith, explains the short film competition to CDU multi-media students

There’s a degree of adventure about studying and living in the Top End.

Charles Darwin University (CDU) is inviting students to fire up their imaginations and take part in the University’s ‘Degree of Adventure’ short film competition for a chance to win $1000 cash.

CDU students have been asked to create a film, up to three minutes long, about why they think the NT and CDU are such great places to live and study.

Entries will be posted to YouTube and could win one of two $1000 cash prizes or one of three $500 runner-up prizes. Entries must express the ‘Degree of Adventure’ theme and showcase CDU’s and the Top End’s unique environment.

CDU will feature the top five films on the University’s ‘Degree of Adventure’ website where the public will have the chance to vote for the film they think is the best. The votes will be tallied and the team whose film registers the highest number of votes will win $1000 cash.

There is also a Judges’ Choice category with a $1000 cash prize up for grabs. The runners-up in the top 5 will win $500 per team.

Competition entries must be received by 9am Monday 24 September 2007.
