An inconvenient truth in the NT

Charles Darwin University’s School for Environmental Research is pleased to present a free seminar on climate change, An Inconvenient Truth in the Northern Territory.

The seminar, which has been based on Al Gore’s worldwide hit, An Inconvenient Truth, will explore how climate change already impacts on Territorians.

Thea Bray, COOLmob project manager, Environment Centre NT, will act as keynote speaker for the seminar and is the only NT person trained as part of Al Gore’s Climate Project Initiative.

Thea said the seminar would have special emphasis on the environmental impacts relevant to the Top End and would also address ways in which we can all be climate leaders.

‘The seminar will look at how climate change in the Territory is already making a considerable impact on our local environment as well as how it is predicted to affect us in the future.’

An Inconvenient Truth in the Northern Territory will be held on Wednesday, 6 June from 1pm to 3.30pm at the Mal Nairn Auditorium, Casuarina Campus.
