Dr Martin Young presents ‘Backing a winner: Alternative futures for gambling management’, on Friday 11 May from 12pm to 1pm.
Dr Young’s presentation will discuss some of the theoretical issues associated with the conceptualisation of gambling, and some of the alternative options for managing gambling in the future.
Dr Young is a human geographer who has led the gambling research program at CDU’s School for Social and Policy Research for the past two years. In 2006, he published a major report on the prevalence of gambling in the NT, the Northern Territory Gambling Prevalence Survey 2005.
