Dr Emma Kowal presents ‘Non-Indigenous people working in Indigenous health: An anthropological study’ on Monday 23 April from 12pm to 1pm.
Aboriginal people are frequently researched, but this seminar turns the spotlight on white people. It reports the results of a four-year study of white, left-wing professionals who work in Indigenous health. It explores their beliefs and experiences, and the implications for social justice for Indigenous people.
Dr Kowal is an NHMRC Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of Melbourne
This seminar takes place in the Menzies Seminar Room, John Mathews Building, Royal Darwin Hospital Campus.
