Susan Penfold, Executive Officer/Project Manager for the Graduate School for Health Practice leaves for New Delhi this week to take part in the 10th Commonwealth Study Conference hosted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The conference, which started in 1956, will bring together more than 200 young business, union and NGO leaders from 53 Commonwealth countries for study and discussion in both India and Malaysia’s Sabah.
Ms Penfold is among 18 people from around Australia invited to attend the conference, which will be held between March 16 and 29 under 11 different study themes.
Her study theme will be ‘Inclusivity in Diversity’. She will spend the first three days in New Delhi, then fly to Sabah on a study tour that will include environmental, education, union and social issues.
The final part of the conference takes place back in New Delhi, where delegates will report on their study tours.
The conference will be opened by HRH the Duke of Kent with the Princess Royal and the President of India participating in the closing session.
