CDU's Alumni connects past and present nursing students

Charles Darwin University’s Alumni has introduced a mentorship program aimed at fostering collaboration between past and present nursing students.

It is hoped that the program will bring together Alumni, graduates and external mode nursing students of CDU, to share experiences and build co-operation and understanding through information exchanges.

Western Australian chapter contact, Lee-Kaye Tonkin-Jones explained that the mentorship was aimed at nurturing quality and best practices within the nursing profession, which extends across clinical practice, nurse education and professional regulation.

‘It's a great network for CDU nursing graduates and students who can help with regulatory authority paperwork,’ she said.

‘Supporting external students studying at Charles Darwin University in WA is the aim of the chapter.’

CDU’s Alumni would like to extend an offer to interested students, the mentorship of appropriately qualified and experienced registered nurses within the general medical/surgical and mental health fields and nurse professionals within specialty fields.
