Northern Territory University graduate, Robert Penaloza, is a perfect example of what rewards hard work and application can bring.
Mr Penaloza graduated from the former NTU, now Charles Darwin University, in 1993 having completed a bachelor degree in banking and finance.
After being in a role at the NT Treasury Corporation he decided to spread his wings into Asia.
At 33 Mr Penaloza is now the deputy chief executive officer at global finance company Aberdeen Asset Management in Bangkok.
‘Nothing is impossible. It just may take time and hard work,’ Mr Penaloza explained.
‘I don’t proclaim to be one of the smartest in investment, but certainly one of the hardest working when it comes to doing homework’.
Mr Penaloza said reaching a high level of success required setting realistic goals.
‘Set yourself a five-to-ten-year plan and write it down and make it become a statement to yourself.’
