CDU Sport's Heart Starters
CDU Sport’s Heart Starters dressed in red and showed that exercise and keeping fit is not just for the young at the Heart Foundation’s Heart Week Mall display earlier this month.
Performing several choreographed routines in front of the very responsive lunchtime crowd, the Heart Starters demonstrated that keeping fit can be fun and very social.
Heart Starters member Jenny Beggs said, “It was great to see a diverse age group coming together to support the Heart Foundation”.
CDU Sport’s Heart Starters program is aimed at senior people who are looking to become more active.
Sessions are run Monday to Friday at $5 a class followed by morning tea and a chat.
The Heart Starters also conducted a morning tea in May to raise funds for the Heart Foundation.
