Three internationally acclaimed young Indonesian writers will present a taste of their recent works (with English translation), on new Indonesian literature engaging contemporary social and political upheavals, in a School of Creative Arts and Humanities public forum on Tuesday 16 May from 12pm.
The young writers, Nukila Amal, Sitok Srengene and Iswadi Pratama, are in Darwin for the wordstorm writers’ festival, from May 18-21.
As part of the forum, they will also discuss the current debate raging in the artistic community and wider Indonesian society on proposed tough new anti-pornography legislation.
The forum takes place in Building 22, room 19, Casuarina campus.
