Get your photograph taken with Schnappi the live crocodile at the annual Mother’s Day trade fair held today (Wednesday) and Thursday between 10am and 3pm at Casuarina Campus.
Customers can also purchase unique Territory gifts including crocodile, stingray and eel skin handbags, key rings and wallets and most fashion skin products will have a 10-50 per cent discount. Exotic Latin jewellery and souvenir products will also be available.
The event will include a BBQ lunch, Mother’s Day raffle and a silent auction.
The trade fair is a collaborative effort by the NT practice firms, including CDU’s business students from Crocodylus World Practice Firm and Toll NT Virtual; Travel Gateway Practice Firm from Palmerston; and TIO Practice Firm from Casuarina Senior College.
The trade fair is a combination of simulated trading and real trading which will give students real business operations experience in selling, invoicing and cash handling.
To make the event even more exciting, the CDU Fashion School students have created garments to be accessorised with various skin products. A fashion parade with models from the Fashion School and the Crocodylus World Practice Firm will exhibit these garments at 12.15pm each day.
All fundraising efforts will support students’ participation in the 2006 International Trade Fair for the Australian Network of Practice Firms in Brisbane 11–13 May 2006.
