Gweneth Norris recently arrived at Charles Darwin University (CDU) to take up the position of Professor of Management (Accounting) with the School of Law and Business. She will be responsible for the Accounting program and will be making a significant contribution in the Accounting research area. She is the also the School’s Research Champion.
Professor Norris joins CDU from the University of South Australia where she was Associate Professor of Accounting in the School of Commerce within the Division of Business & Enterprise. She previously spent many years at Deakin University in Geelong, Victoria.
She is a past vice president of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and worked on the Geelong Branch Council of CPA Australia for 11 years, serving terms as chair and deputy chair of the Council.
Professor Norris has been a presenter of the ICMA graduate course 'Advanced Management Accounting' in Asia (Manila, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore) and has taught for Deakin University and the University of South Australia in Penang, Singapore and Hong Kong. She will be assisting the School with its planning for overseas delivery.
