CDU now offers a three day Sports First Aid and Injury Management short course.
This nationally accredited course covers the application of sports first aid knowledge and skills to implement an effective injury prevention program, and follow immediate injury management strategies in a sport setting in the absence of other qualified help or until a paramedic arrives.
This course is for anyone involved in sport:
- Parents
- Athletes
- Coaches
- Sports trainers
- Teachers
- Gym or fitness instructors
- Facility managers
- Community groups
- Other health care professionals
Cost: $116 - All inclusive of books, training, Sports First Aid certificate and St John Senior First Aid certificate
Other courses
The sports first aid unit contributes towards the national qualifications in fitness, sport and recreation or sports training, also available at Charles Darwin University.
