Last year $104,000 was raised in the Territory and at the same time a new world record was set for the world’s largest simultaneous tea party – a feat recognised by the Guinness Book of Records.
The funds raised really do make a difference. One third of all cancers can now be prevented and 50% can be successfully treated. Yet there is still much to do. Sadly, one in three Australians will get cancer in their lifetime, and—on average—one person in NT is diagnosed with cancer every day.
