US Indian Health Service delegates visit CRC for Aboriginal Health

The Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health (CRCAH) hosts a delegation from the Indian Health Service (IHS) on Friday 10 April.

The IHS, an agency within the US Department of Health and Human Services, delivers a multi-billion dollar health service to nearly two million Native Americans.

The delegation includes the Director of the IHS, Dr Charles Grim, who will be giving a presentation in Darwin at Auditorium 1 Royal Darwin Hospital on Friday April 7 at 10.30am.

Dr Grim will provide an overview of the IHS, including information on the IHS infectious disease prevention and control activities over the past 50 years, and a brief overview of the IHS research program and policy in the context of serving the health care needs of American Indian and Alaska Native people.
