The first few weeks as Campus Administrator have been both hectic and rewarding for Dianne Underwood, with a successful Orientation night held at the Alice Springs campus and students settling into study for Semester 1.
It’s been a busy month for the Charles Darwin University library on the Alice Springs campus – the busiest ever in fact.
Despite February being a short month, library staff were kept busy with a record 11620 visitors. Almost 500 new library cards were also issued.
Glenn Irvine has joined Charles Darwin University as an Essential Services lecturer attached to the School of Trades, enabling the course to be delivered once more from the Alice Springs campus.
Children’s Services co-ordinator Amanda Cawthorne-Crosby has been appointed to the Remote VET Leader’s position for the School of Education.
CDU kept visitors to the 2006 Chamber of Commerce Central Australian Expo entertained on Friday and Saturday with cooking displays, free health checks and student hairdressing demonstrations at the Alice Springs Convention Centre.
