Greek is the word!

The Darwin Greek Community showcased its cultural diversity at CDU's Casuarina campus this week as part of O-Week activities.

The Greek community stall extended their ‘filoxenia’, which is the Greek word for hospitality, generosity and all that encompasses the Greek culture, to students and staff.

The food stalls wooed all within the vicinity, as aromas of the tempting and traditional Greek dishes on offer filled the air.

Director of Modern Greek Studies, Dr George Frazis, said the O-Week celebrations bring together many sections of the Greek community.

“It is a common effort between the Greek community, CDU, Flinders University and all friends of modern Greek.”

“It is with open arms that we invite all people to indulge themselves, learn more and experience the great Greek culture,” Dr Frazis said.
