CDU wows Darwin High students

More than 150 Darwin High students descended onto the Casuarina campus last Wednesday to check out future study options.

The visit marked the annual Darwin High Year 12 Orientation Day at CDU.

CDU staff and current students walked our visitors through a variety of high-energy visual and hands-on information sessions, throughout the library and three faculties.

Prospective students were treated to an eye opening experience in which the diversity of courses and the university as a whole was showcased by animated and enthusiastic lectures.

Items of particular interest to students included the contemporary music visit conducted by the School of Creative Arts and Humanities during which students were enticed by a plethora of musical genres.

In other areas, the real life setup of the nursing lab was transformed by staff of the School of Health Sciences into a hub of excitement, with ‘dummy’ patients proving extremely popular.
