People Management and Development gets a makeover

Effective 1 February 2006, the People Management and Development (PMD) division has a new look aimed at providing the staff of Charles Darwin University (CDU) at all levels with a better, more professional service that addresses the needs of a contemporary, dynamic organisation such as CDU.

PMD is now divided into three logical teams: Consulting, Strategy and Remuneration and Benefits.

Each member of the Consulting team will continue to manage the needs of a client group comprising various areas of the university for whom the consultant is the first and main point of contact for all staff matters.

Consultants will draw direction about advice given to the client group in relation to professional and organisational development, health safety and environment, workforce planning and analysis and employee relations for example from the Strategy team. In relation to all matters pertaining to remuneration and benefits the consultants will be guided by the Remuneration and Benefits team, who will be responsible for the processing of remuneration and benefits matters.

Of course everyone in PMD is available to service your needs whoever you contact, however the aim of the new structure is to provide a more visible and consistent point of contact for all staff and clarity to the PMD client base (CDU staff) about who does what in PMD.

As a further service to the University staff, PMD is also extending its opening hours to 5.00pm Monday to Friday to assist you in getting the services that you need from the division. These new opening hours will be effective from 20 February.
