CDU’s Alice Springs Campus staff commenced moving into the new higher education building this week after approval for occupancy was granted in December 2006.
A gradual relocation of staff will take place this week, with most staff expected to be settled by Friday 15 December.
Campus administrator Di Underwood said the support of the facilities team in Alice Springs has made the move a relatively stress free event.
The new higher education building houses lecturers and support personnel from the various faculties.
These include the Faculty of Education, Health and Science, Faculty of Technology and Schools of Social and Policy Research and Australian Indigenous Knowledge Systems.
It includes an amphitheatre, science labs and class rooms and will be officially opened early 2007.
