Students from Batchelor Area School visited Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Palmerston Campus last Friday (1 December), spending time with lecturers from hospitality, hairdressing and beauty.
The students enjoyed finding out about these areas of study and were delighted at the diverse spectrum of job opportunities that previous generations have not been aware off.
‘Remote school students, due to their isolation, cannot easily find information on alternative pathways, let alone experience it first hand,’ said Trisha Kohlweg, secondary school liaison. ‘It is wonderful that CDU offers secondary school students the opportunity to gain relevant career pathway information and experiences.’
