Amanda takes over reins of central Australian secondary schools 

 
 
Amanda Cawthorne-Crosby has accepted a six month position as secondary schools liaison lecturer, Community and Access

Charles Darwin University Alice Springs VTE lecturer Amanda Cawthorne-Crosby has accepted a six month position as secondary schools liaison lecturer, Community and Access.

Karrina Betschart is taking maternity leave on 11 December.

Amanda will take over Karrina’s responsibilities covering the Central (Desert Oaks) and Barkly (Central Storm) regions which extends from the South Australian border to Borroloola, in the Gulf of Carpentaria, around 1000 kilometres south east of Darwin.

Amanda (Mandy) will continue to develop relationships between the University and secondary schools. She will organise site visits and assist in other activities encouraging interaction with schools throughout the region.

‘Secondary schools have always been an interest to me and I love working with new challenges,’ she said.

Karrina said she was confident in Mandy’s abilities and congratulated her on the position.

‘Mandy is an excellent choice and I think she will excel in this role,’ she said.
