Charles Darwin University is pleased to announce the official opening of the much anticipated Student Square.
Student Square, located adjacent to Casuarina Campus’s Building 31 and the basketball courts, has been in the planning since late 2005 and marks another stage in campus development.
Finance and Asset Services Chief Financial Officer, Ken Suter, said that the new facilities are designed to be multi-purpose.
‘Student Square is a kind of oasis for students and is ideal for small gatherings and study groups as well as performances and larger functions,’ he said.
‘As a dedicated showcase venue for CDU students and staff, the project’s open air design incorporates tropical trees, gazebos and BBQ facilities.’
Student Square is open to students, staff and external bodies.
External bodies wishing to hire the facilities can make a booking via email to facilities@cdu.edu.au or by phoning 8946 6500.
