CDU welcomes Indigenous work experience students

Charles Darwin University’s continual commitment to developing strategies for Indigenous participation has again been evidenced through a newly implemented Indigenous work experience initiative.

Kormilda College and Palmerston High School students will be officially welcomed to CDU’s Indigenous Work Experience Pilot Program by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Helen Garnett today (25 October).

The Indigenous work experience initiative, which commenced on 18 October, will be launched at an afternoon tea.

A total of 20 students from Kormilda College and Palmerston High School are participating in the pilot program.

It is hoped that, in the future, the program will extend its scope to involve all areas of the Northern Territory, with the aim of providing Indigenous students a wider range of career pathways to choose from.
