Ross Andrews presents ‘Current status of pneumococcal disease in Australia’, on Monday 23 October from 12pm to 1pm.
Ross’ seminar will explore the gains which have been made in the prevention of invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD) among Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian children through the provision of the 7-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (7PCV), and among older Australians through provision of the 23 valent pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (23vPPV), among other related issues.
Ross Andrews is an epidemiologist with the Tropical and Emerging Infectious Diseases Division at Menzies School of Health Research.
This presentation takes place in the Menzies Seminar Room, John Mathews Building, Royal Darwin Hospital campus.
