Tertiary Enabling Program opens doors for Vince

Vince Champion is a classic example that it is never to late to improve your jobs prospects.

After job-hopping and being unemployed for a period of time, Vince decided at age 30 to return to school.

"As I hadn't completed year 12, I needed to do the TBOP (pre-cursory to today's Tertiary Enabling Program) bridging program. I was later very thankful I had completed that course prior to entering a higher education degree, as it prepared me brilliantly for what was to come," Vince explained.

“The skills I learned during that one semester made the subsequent six years at NTU (Charles Darwin University’s precusor) more enjoyable, less stressful, and more successful. I would strongly recommend CDU’s bridging course to anyone who has not studied for while.”

Vince began his Bachelor of Arts in 1996 and completed it in 1999 majoring in anthropology with a double in psychology.

He one day plans on undertaking a Masters in Psychology on an external basis and fulfilling yet another goal.

Vince is currently the psychologist to the ‘Adult Team’ at the Top End Association for Mental Health where he provides psychological intervention in a broad range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
