Australia’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Mr Tony Hely, will present a seminar on relations between the two countries on Tuesday (October 17).
Mr Hely is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and, prior to his appointment as Ambassador to the Philippines, served as High Commissioner to Canada.
He was Ambassador to the Republic of Korea from 1998 to 2001.
He served as Minister and Deputy Head of Mission, Jakarta (1991-93), Counsellor Commercial, Tokyo (1984-87) and First Secretary, Geneva GATT (1977-80).
The seminar, presented by the NT division of the United Nations Association of Australia, will be held in Building 31 on the Casuarina campus of Charles Darwin University from 4pm to 5.30pm.
