Charles Darwin University (CDU) and Territory Insurance Office (TIO) have entered into a partnership agreement which will result in new services for both students and staff.
The agreement represents a good opportunity for CDU and TIO to link the best possible combination of education, banking and insurance services for Territorians.
The partnership offers staff and students competitive insurance and banking products, together with personal development and employment opportunities.
The competitive insurance and banking products include:
Personal loans with a 50 per cent discount on establishment fee, 0.25% per annum interest rate discount, $100 voucher towards fees on next TIO loan and a pre-approved $2,000 credit card.
Home loans with a 50 per cent discount on establishment fee, 0.15% per annum discount on Standard Variable Rate Loans, a further 0.10% per annum discount on Executive Package Loans, no monthly loan service fee and a pre-approved $5,000 credit card.
As a bonus, every time a CDU student or staff member takes out a CDU package loan, TIO will pay a percentage of the loan amount to a CDU benefit fund which will assist in funding additional resources for CDU staff and students.
CDU students will be able to take advantage of TIO’s offer of work experience within the organisation and preferential access to TIO’s graduate program.
The agreement will also mean that a TIO employee will visit Casuarina Campus for up to two afternoons each week. This person will be primarily focused on loan interviews and insurance matters.
The agreement enhances a long term association between TIO and CDU which includes CDU Foundation scholarships and focuses on a joint commitment to developing the Territory and Territorians.
