Charles Darwin University (CDU) has signed an agreement with Australie Mag, an international education agent, to represent the University and recruit students in France.

Odile Smadja, Director of Australie Mag, recently visited Darwin and CDU in order to familiarise herself with the University and meet with academics.

The visit, hosted by the International Office, allowed Ms Smadja to meet with representatives from science and primary industries, business, engineering, tourism and hospitality, creative arts and humanities to discuss the strengths of each school, and to provide an overview of the French market and the potential it may hold for CDU.

A highlight of her time in Darwin was a visit to Northern Editions, where she was given a tour of the gallery and was able to purchase several prints as a lasting reminder of her time in the Territory. These prints will be displayed in the Australie Mag office in Paris to promote CDU.

The partnership is also important in terms of the joint venture agreement between CDU and English language provider ACL.

Australie Mag has been a successful agent for ACL for a number of years and it is hoped that the initiative will further increase the exposure and numbers of the Darwin English Centre.
