Associate Professor Gary Robinson presents ‘Early intervention with Aboriginal parents and children: Parenting, context and diversity in North Australia’, on Wednesday 13 September from 1pm to 2pm.
Gary’s presentation will outline a research program of early intervention developed for Aboriginal families in the Northern Territory.
Gary Robinson is a co-director of the School for Social and Policy Research. He is a social anthropologist who has been active in research relating to Aboriginal youth, families and children in the NT for some twenty years. He has evaluated major health service initiatives and continues with research and publication in the field of health and community services development. He is now engaged with the development of early intervention strategies to support families and children in remote and urban Aboriginal communities.
