Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Beauty was in the eye of the beholder at the Palmerston Campus early last week.

Justine Donohue, a Dermalogica trainer from Sydney, visited the Palmerston Campus last week to liaise with the staff and students from beauty therapy.

Ms Donohue conducted training sessions for both the University beauty therapy staff and students, as well as postgraduate training sessions for external stockists and consultants within the Northern Territory beauty industry.

Palmerston Campus administrator Nyree Terry, said the visit was a fantastic opportunity for the staff and students to experience the in-depth product training included practical demonstrations and underlying theory.

“Justine was inspirational and her visit has motivated the students and re-confirmed their industry choice of entering the field of beauty therapy,” she said.

She also said that lecturers in beauty therapy, Jessica Robertson and Helena Bergman, have been re-invigorated with the visit and this type of professional development is going to be flagged within their area planning for an annual activity
